Information Supporting Agent Orange VA Claims

If you are attempting to file a VA claim for disabilities related to Agent Orange exposure, the following document may be able to provide proof or your presence in the Golf of Tonkin during 1968. The document is the ship's Plan of the Day (POD) dated: 14 March 1968. The POD specifies that we were in the Tonkin Gulf and in a Hostile Fire Zone, which was within 12 miles of the combat area. A POD is an official Navy document and may be able to support your claim as proof of your possible exposure to Agent Orange. I should add that you needed to be aboard the ship during this time period. Further information can be obtained by going to the Command History tab and selecting the year you are interested in where you will find additional information supporting our presence in the Gulf of Tonkin.
